Kiki is a witch and, at the age of 13, as tradition dictates, she must leave and live alone for a year far from her family. On the night of the full moon, she flies with her cat Jiji to the land of humans. 

Based on the book by Eiko Kadono, Majo no Takkyûbin (Kiki, the little witch) is a simple and elegant blend of the everyday and the marvellous, an initiatory and social fable in which the young girl discovers herself and asserts her independence through the encounters and friendships she makes in this unknown world.
